The Broken Microwave Taught Me So Much!

Good Morning Bloggers!

I hope you are doing wonderfully! I was walking to the mall the other day to pick up a new microwave (wait let me rewind a little).

I woke up to make myself coffee yesterday morning. As I placed my cup of milk in the microwave I thought to myself about how smoothly everything was going this morning. It was not until I had to take out my coffee that everything fell apart. I’m exaggerating nothing fell apart, but you know what I mean. The microwave door refused to listen to me and little did I know that the cup of milk would be stuck inside the microwave forever. My mother decided to take out the tool box, and she was trying to open the microwave door with a screwdriver…that didn’t work out too well either.

Back to theΒ start- that is why I was walking to the mall. The microwave ate the cup of milk I was going to use for coffee. Although we did lose a cup and some milk… It was not really a huge deal. While I walking to the mall I saw a lady selling fruit shakes and fresh fruits at her own little booth that she had established. As I kept walking I saw several other women with similar booths selling fresh fruits and shakes. It suddenly hit me -these women were beyond inspiring. I wasn’t fully aware of the times they would sit at their booths but one thing I did know was that they were determined to sell even one bag of fruits. That one bag of fruit could make all the difference between putting food on the table. Their work ethic and consistency made me realize how much respect they deserve for what they do. There are so many people we see on a day to day basis through out our lives, and sometimes we forget to give them the credit they deserve. Even if you just acknowledge them with a smile it makes all the difference in the world.

I would like to thank the broken microwave for this experience and more importantly this realization, thank you!

I hope you can help someone feel that their contributions are important this week!

Sending a lot of positive vibes your way,

Manisha Sareen
