Empowerment, life, Stay empowered!

Strangers in the Cafe

I bumped into someone in the cafe, and I saw him enjoying his dessert and honey maple latte with his entire soul. He was standing in the middle of the cafe and taking gradual bites at his dessert while sipping on his latte. I looked at him and immediately decided to make my observation known: “Hello sir, I don’t mean to interrupt you as you fully enjoy this moment. I would like to say that I appreciate the enjoyment with which you are devouring your dessert and coffee.”

He looked at me in amazement and smiled at me (I wasn’t expecting a reaction at all).

“You know, I used to be a chef, and I genuinely ENJOY food. Life is too short not to be able to enjoy such things. He looked at the dessert menu and very proudly announced that he had tried all of the ones on the list.

Before I walked away he repeated it: “Honey, life is way too short not to enjoy the little things.”

For some reason, that stuck with me because he was right.

Are you embracing every moment or continue living life in fear?

Sending a lot go positive vibes your way,

  1. That was a great observation and I commend you for being bold and asking saying something like that to him. His words of wisdom were profound and very true. Each moment truly counts in this life. Great Post!
