Time

It’s been a while, but I am back!

Time is honestly the most precious “thing” in this world. It’s not the money, it’s not how big your house is, it’s not which car you’re driving, and it’s most definitely not about the brand of clothing you choose to wear.

May 11th, 2019 – My family and I received the news that my uncle had passed away. I had known him my entire life, and within a matter of a few hours he was no longer amongst us. The day prior, my cousin had informed me that “He only had a few hours.” It only hit me when I actually heard the news. Life is so crazy, isn’t it? You know someone for the majority of your life, and their life is suddenly confined to a matter of hours.

So many times we waste time (and energy) staying upset with someone or competing with the entire world. Do you know when my uncle passed away, everyone in the family cherished and reminisced on all the good times we had spent with him. At the end of our lives, people will remember us for all the happiness and joy we had spread. No one is going to remember how you spread any negative energy, or that argument you had with your best friend 5 years ago.

Here are a few things you can do NOW to live in the moment, and not give yourself a chance to ever look back and say what if….

1. Say “I love you,” more often and express how you are truly feeling to the people who you love.

2. Take chances. STOP asking people for guidance in your life ( I mean you can!) – just take a chance. So many times we know the action step that needs to be taken, but are always looking for confirmation from other people. Don’t let others place their limitations upon you.

3. STOP worrying about what other people think of you. People hardly remember anything. For example, you may take one hour to decide upon your outfit for the next morning. People will compliment you, and/or talk behind your back about what they thought about your presentation of the outfit. The most interesting things is that no one will remember what you even wore the next day. You see? We sit on edge our entire lives because we want to always please others. The people you are trying to please, are doing the same and trying to please their peers as well. Don’t fall into that cycle!

Take advantage of every single moment you have and EXPRESS yourself! I mean like really! In a world where people are always trying to present themselves as strong people, impacted by nothing, it will be an honor for people to come across someone who isn’t afraid to express themselves.

Sending a lot of positive vibes your way.
