So, the other day someone asked me what it takes to be happy — what a great question. In turn, I asked him what happiness means to him.
There it was, the pause, the long pause, which usually follows such a question. Well he said, I want to get this house in the next two years, and this car and the list went on. Is this happiness though, I asked again with twice as much curiosity? Can happiness be confined to such structured limitations?
What is happiness? If happiness is easily attainable, why does it hold a different definition from person to person?
If happiness is associated with materialistic things, then why do people with materialist things remain unhappy?
If happiness is defined based on getting or giving?
Is it easy to say that you want to be happy, but are YOU happy?
I am sending a lot of positive vibes your way!
Love,
Manisha Sareen
