My parents are getting old. I’ve always understood they are aging, but I had decided a while ago that I want to live with them in the present moment instead of dwelling on the fact that they are becoming old. I love them so much and hence I’ve always decided to keep this understanding of mine in my subconscious mind.
Isn’t it crazy? We spend so much time with our loved ones, yet we fail to recognize the changes and experiences they go through because sometimes we are so caught up in our own. We sometimes forget that old age is part of everyone’s life. Believe it or not, you and I both will eventually get old. I don’t know about you, but I want to run marathons, even at the age of 80. I am so grateful that I am able to see my parents in this beautiful phase of their lives. They both have such beautiful souls. They are my gateway to the beauty of the world.
So, as others around you age, and as we ourselves age….let’s read the following sayings to subconsciously prove to ourselves that aging doesn’t mean life becomes monotonous. Rather, life and the experiences that come with it are even more beautiful. Don’t let any one tell you otherwise. At the age of 80, you can most definitely enjoy watching cartoons. Live the life you want regardless of your age. Imagine, looking back at your life and saying… I didn’t take up the opportunity to go hiking because of my age. That sounds crazy!!!! Here we go with beautiful sayings to keep you young:
“Dance like no one’s watching, whether you’re 18 or 80; enjoy your ice-cream like you did when you were five; and never restrain from laughing, no matter how stupid a joke is.”
“There is a certain part of all of us that lives outside of time. Perhaps we become aware of our age only at exceptional moments and most of the time we are ageless.” – MILAN JUNDERA
“Wrinkles merely mark where smiles have been.”
MARK TWAIN
“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” -LES BROWN
“Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.” -WALT DISNEY
“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” -HENRY FORD
Keep being amazing! Sending a lot of positive vibes your way.
Love,
