You Have to Be Your Biggest Cheerleader

Are you always looking for approval from the external world or are you genuinely satisfied with your internal state of being? I know that this is a very complex question and usually can’t be answered in one sitting. There are so many factors that impact our internal state of being. This blog post is not meant to review this complexity. Rather through this post I want to help you identify different ways in which you and I together can help bring out the best version of ourselves. Here are a few tips you can use to bring out your best self in any and every situation:

1- Understand your strengths and optimize them. What are the key skills you have obtained over the years and can use to your benefit? What times of the day do you work at your best? Do you work better in a quiet place or in a Cafe?

2- Why do you do what you do? What is your purpose? Always keep subtle reminders to keep you on track. These reminders can be in the form of a recurring event on your Calendar and/or your iPhone wallpaper. Use creative and new techniques to remind yourself of why you wake up in the morning and are driven to do your best every single day.

3- Who are the people closest to you? What are they doing with their lives? You know they say you will be like the five people you hang out with the most? Are these people goal driven or are they watching Netflix all day? What keeps you all connected and what do you all have in common? If you surround yourself with greatness, you will set yourself up for greatness.

4- To stay motivated always listen to motivational material. Listen to podcasts, motivational videos, and/or affirmations. Use these different platforms to drive your motivation. For other techniques to drive your motivation I highly recommend reading The Success Principles by Jack Canfield. This book is literally the roadmap you need to get to where you want to be and clearly breaks down every part of the success process.

Listen, I know that at times you may feel less motivated than usual. Please know that your motivation never fluctuates, your feelings fluctuate which in turn causes you to either procrastinate on your goal and/or not work towards them. We are all capable of getting to where we want to so please keep working hard. You got this. Sending a lot of positive vibes your way.

Love,

Manisha
